- Junior Investigators Competition
Junior investigators are vital to advancing CF research, bringing new ideas, fresh perspectives, and helping build the next generation of leaders in the field. To recognize their contributions, the CF Foundation hosts two Junior Investigator Competitions at NACFC—one in Basic Science and one in Clinical Research. Eligible junior investigators are encouraged to submit abstracts for consideration.
All abstracts with a junior investigator listed as the presenting author are grouped into either the basic science or clinical research category based on the selected discipline. A panel of expert judges reviews these abstracts, and the top ten in each category are invited to participate in the onsite poster judging. From there, the top five move on to give an oral presentation during the Junior Investigator Sessions at the conference. One winner will be selected for each category. The two winners will receive a $500 reward and complimentary registration to NACFC for the following year.
Eligible presenting authors include graduate students and individuals in postdoctoral or clinical fellow positions at the time of the conference. Additional eligibility details will be available on the abstract submission site. To participate, select the competition option when submitting your abstract.
