Attendance Policy for CF Foundation-Sponsored Events

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation has an attendance policy for all Foundation events, such as the North American Cystic Fibrosis Conference (NACFC), to preserve the health and well-being of all people, including people with cystic fibrosis, by reducing the risk of getting and spreading dangerous germs.

Photography and Video Policy

Photography, video, and audio recording of any kind for any purpose (including social media) is prohibited without prior authorization.

Social Media Policy

The Foundation encourages the use of social media platforms to update followers on the latest news coming from NACFC sessions. The Twitter hashtag is #NACFC.

All information included in poster or e-poster presentations are proprietary and confidential and may not be shared on social media platforms unless express, written consent is granted by the author(s).

All social media posts must comply with the Embargo Policy

If a meeting speaker does not wish to have presented research shared on social media, an announcement will be made before or during the presentation. Ignoring presenter requests is considered a violation of our policies.

Attending NACFC:

To help reduce the risk of cross-infection, we request that only one person with CF be invited to attend an NACFC event at a specific time and stay only for that session.

Please be aware that others with CF might choose to attend NACFC and NACFC-related activities. While we strongly discourage this, other individuals with CF may still choose to attend despite our attendance policy.

We invite all who are unable to attend the conference in person to view select live-streamed sessions. Learn about which sessions will be live-streamed and how you can register to join online.

We also want to stress that good infection prevention and control measures apply to all people. To reduce the risk of getting and spreading germs at NACFC, the Program Planning Committee asks that everyone follow basic best practices.

  • Clean your hands frequently with soap and water or alcohol-based hand gel
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue or your inner elbow
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth
  • Maintain a distance of at least six feet from those with a respiratory infection

Thank you for your cooperation in helping to safeguard the health of those who attend our conference. For more information, please contact the CF Foundation at 800-FIGHT CF (800-344-4823) or visit www.cff.org to review our attendance policy.

Regulatory Requirements & Professional Code

The NACFC adheres to the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) regulations to provide continuing education units for most sessions. Please check with your company’s regulatory or compliance department before applying for support opportunities. NACFC adheres to all state and federal regulations surrounding regulatory requirements and professional codes.
